Engineering Development Mgr/Dir
Job Description
As Engineering Development manager you will lead the development of Sol Voltaics’ proprietary nanowire fabrication technology ( called “aerotaxy”). You will lead a team of process and equipment engineers to develop our next generation aerotaxy reactor to produce high quality III-V nanowires for use in photovoltaic solar cells. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment engineering and process development with prior experience in a similar capacity in a small to medium size company. Solid understanding of heat transfer and fluid mechanics is a must. You will expected to apply DOE and six-sigma methodologies, Statistical Process Control to develop new processes and maintain process baselines.
The candidate must be hands-on and be able to contribute directly to the development effort. You will lead the technology development from its current laboratory scale up to, and including, industrial scale for mass-production.
You are an independent and self-motivated professional, with excellent team working skills and eager to join a well funded startup at the forefront of photovoltaic nanotechnology.
Requirements:
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
