Senior Thin Film Engineer
Job Description
As Senior Thin Film Engineer you will join the effort to develop photovoltaic (solar cell) devices based on a novel technique made possible by Sol Voltaics’ proprietary nanowire fabrication technology. You will plan and lead the development of nanowire thin films and of large area devices based on thereon, and will actively participate in the development work together with the technical team.
You are an expert in growth and characterization of thin-film materials for photovoltaic applications, from the substrate level up to device processing, and your background is probably in solid state physics or materials chemistry. You also have a good grasp of the thin-film photovoltaics business in general, both from a manufacturing and a market point of view. You are an independent and self-motivated professional, with excellent team working skills.
Requirements:
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in physics, materials chemistry or equivalent
• Expertise in thin-film manufacturing and characterization
• 5 + years of industrial experience of thin-film photovoltaics
• Fluent in oral and written English

Surface / Colloidal Chemist
Job Description:
As Surface / Colloidal Chemist you will join the effort to develop photovoltaic (solar cell) devices based on a novel technique made possible by Sol Voltaics’ proprietary nanowire fabrication technology. You will plan, lead and perform development of chemical methods for the handling of nanowire dispersions and of surface modification of wires and substrates, and will actively participate in the development work together with the rest of the technical team.
You are an expert in colloidal and/or surface chemistry, including synthesis using non-aqueous solvents. You have experience with surface chemical analysis methods as well as surface modification/passivation of inorganic materials. Experience with polymer chemistry is also desirable. You are an independent and self-motivated professional, with excellent team working skills.
Requirements:
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in materials chemistry, physical chemistry or equivalent
• Expertise in inorganic colloidal or surface chemistry
• 5 + years experience of materials research from industry or academia
• Fluent in oral and written English
