Device Engineer
Job Description
As Device Engineer you will join the effort to develop high-efficiency multijunction photovoltaic (solar cell) devices based on a novel technique made possible by Sol Voltaics’ proprietary nanowire processing technology. You will perform modeling, design and characterization of devices using numerical, electrical and optical methods. You will collaborate with the materials- and processing scientists, and conduct tests to optimize device architecture and performance. You will actively participate in the development work together with the technical team. You are expected to be an independent and self-motivated professional, with excellent team working skills.
Requirements:
• University degree in electronics, physics or equivalent
• Industrial or research experience with design and modeling of photovoltaic devices, preferably III-V based multijunction PV
• Experience with characterization of photovoltaic devices
• Fluent in oral and written English

Engineering Manager (Photovoltaics)
Job Description:
As Engineering Manager, you will lead the effort to transform a research multijunction photovoltaic device into a prototype high-efficiency solar cell. You will be responsible for project management, budgeting and staffing, whilst working closely with the executive management team. In this role, you will lead and innovate the company’s R&D organization, assist in defining the final product, and plan for and initiate the transfer to manufacturing. We expect you to be a highly self-motivated individual with excellent management skills, who is also capable and willing to do yourself what is needed to achieve the goals.
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience from the photovoltaics industry, with 5+ years of product development responsibility
• Experience with production-scale MOCVD or similar deposition technology
• Experience with product life cycle process and management, supply chain, transfer to manufacture and program/project management
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in physics, electronics or equivalent
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written

Senior Engineer Optoelectronics
Job Description:
As Senior Engineer, you will lead the characterization effort for third generation multi-junction photovoltaic devices. You will develop the methods for characterizing our novel devices and materials, and take responsibility for running and developing the test lab. You will collaborate with the materials- and processing scientists, and plan and conduct tests to optimize device architecture and performance. You will actively participate in the development work with the technical team.
Requirements:
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in optics, electronics, physics or equivalent
• Five year industrial experience with development and characterization of photovoltaic and/or optoelectronic devices
• Experience with semiconductor processing
• Fluent in oral and written English
