Magnus Ryde, Chairman of the Board

Magnus Ryde has more than 25 years experience from the semiconductor industry and building new high technology ventures. Magnus have previous held positions as Vice President, Field operations and Sales at KLA-Tencor and President North America at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC). Magnus has also been the CEO of FlexICs, a flexible screen spin-out from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, Intematix Corp., a company specializing in phosphor LEDs for Solid State Lighting market and Daystar Technologies Inc., a thin film (CIGS) PV solar energy company in Silicon Valley. Magnus has an extensive international experience and have he has served on several boards in several high-tech companies with a focus on the semiconductor industry in Sweden, USA , Israel and Asia. Magnus holds an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Linköping University and Stanford University and an Executive MBA from Stanford University.


Dr. Thomas Moe Børseth

Thomas works with strategy, business development and Investments at the investment company Umoe. Previous joining Umoe, Thomas was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company where he led a number of projects across Scandinavia and Northern Europe with a focus on corporate and business unit strategy, profit improvement and operational improvements. Thomas has also a strong technical background within semiconductor science/material physics. Thomas hols a PhD in Physics/Materials Science from University of Oslo (UiO).


Per Anell

Per Anell is Investment Manager at Industrifonden, one of Sweden's largest and most experienced investors in early stage growth companies. Per has been with Industrifonden since 2014 and has almost 20 years of professional experience from senior positions in several growth companies spun out from academic research. Prior to joining Industrifonden Per worked as an investment manager at Almi Invest focusing mainly on seed investments in high tech startups. Per holds a M.Sc. in Engineering Lund University. 


Kristian Sildeby

Kristian Sildeby is Investment Manager and CFO at FAM (Foundation Asset Management), managing the assets of the Wallenberg Foundations. Kristian has been with FAM since 2009 and previously 10 years with the listed investment company Investor AB. Kristian has substantial investment experience and has worked with both startups and mature companies in a number of industries, including technology, energy, environmental technology, entertainment, services, and the insurance industry. Kristian holds a M.Sc. in Business Administration degree from the Stockholm School of Economics.


Nils A. Foldal

Nils is the CEO of Ludvig Lorentzen AS, a Norwegian a privately investment company that invests in both listed and unlisted securities and investments with a long term time horizon. Nils was previously Investment Director at Awilhelmsen Capital AS, Managing Director of K-Aktiv Forvaltning AS (today Nordea Investment Management), CEO at DnB Investor AS, Investment Director at Storebrand Asset Management and Pluss Fondene. Nils has extensive experience in venture capital, building new ventures and more mature growth companies from a wide range of high tech industries such as IT, mobile technology, nano-technology, financial services, investment services, real estate and shipping. Nils is Master of Science and graduate of the Norwegian School of Business Management (NHH)


Dr. Khalid Al-Saleh

Dr. Khalid Al-Saleh is an associate professor at the Industrial Engineering Department, College of Engineering, King Saud University. He obtained his PhD from Birmingham University, UK, in 2004. His BSc in industrial engineering was obtained from King Saud University in 1993. His research interests focus on Human Factors Engineering and ergonomics. He is also a member of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM). Furthermore, He is a founding-member of the Saudi Inventors Society. In 2007 he served as the director of the Intellectual Property and Technology Licensing Program at King Saud University. He represented the ministry of higher education in the Higher Committee of Unifying Intellectual Property Rights under One Umbrella. He published several papers in related journals and conferences. Since 2013 to present, he is serving as the CEO of Riyadh Valley Company, the investment vehicle of King Saud University.


Dr. Lars Samuelson

Prof. Lars Samuelson is the director of the Nanometer Structure Consortium, started in 1988, which is today the primary center for nanoscience in Sweden. Lars is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, FInstP in the United Kingdom, a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (Kungl. Ingenjörsvetenskapsakademien, IVA) and also a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Kungl. Vetenskapsakademien, KVA) which awards the Nobel Prizes in Chemistry and Physics each year. In 2008, he was named ”Einstein Professor” by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Lars is the author of more than 600 articles in refereed journals, and has given about 250 plenary/invited talks at international conferences and workshops. He has been named by a leading journal as the most prolific European contributor to scientific journals in the nanowire field for the last decade and among the top five worldwide. Lars has also co-funded the nanotechnology companies GLO and QuNano. He received his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics at Lund University in 1977.
